Re: yarmalenko out for 6 months
Yes, we are cursed with injuries, but what's so sickening is that it's so often serious, long term injuries. What with Carroll, Reid and Lanzini, all long term absentees, we now have a £22mill bloke who's only been here 3 months. Same sort of thing happened to the useless Ayew.

And yes, we do have a number of players who seem to be injury prone; Carroll, obviously, Reid and, rather ridiculously Wilshere.
But whatever the cunt on MOTD said last night, Yarmelenko does not have a bad injury record. In the last 5 years he was out for 10 weeks in 2016 and 8 weeks at the beginning of this year. That's it.

Typical.

You couldn't make this shit up.

Only positive is that it wasn't Arnie.

I'd like to see Masuaku there. Played his best stuff for us as an AML.

Grady will be better coming off the bench for now

I'm quite happy for Diangana to replace him out wide. Antonio and Snodgrass can replace the overrated twat on the left too.

I play a lot of squash and Achilles is a pretty common injury. If he has ruptured it, he will do well to be back playing competitively inside 9 months. Fingers crossed it is just a strain.

Isn't it Yarmo's right peg?

Thus... it makes no difference whatsoever!! Carry on.

A source close to the gypsy that placed the curse on our squad tells me that Arnies hamstring is being targeted in the next game.

I don’t know what “Bare Bones” is in Spanish but expect to hear it any press conference now.

Fucking hell. The sight of Antonio lumbering around for the rest of the season fills me with sadness.

This season is fucked already. Brilliant.

Re: yarmalenko out for 6 months
I can understand people saying that Carroll, Dyer and Wilshere were risks because of their previous form for injuries.

Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Reid and Antonio were not injury prone when we signed them. Lanzini got injured in training for Argentina for fuck’s sake. I can’t think of many other clubs with our bad luck for long term injuries to our best players.

Bollocks.
That is a nasty injury to get - 6 months at the very least.

Re: yarmalenko out for 6 months
Injury prone?

He's played over 400 senior games at the age of 28 ffs

His injury yesterday was out and out shocking luck. It's what happens to our best players, we're used to it.

Re: yarmalenko out for 6 months
Therein lies the reason he was only £17m.

Injury prone players get injured. Kieron Dyer, Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio, Winston Reid, Jack Wilshere etc etc.

He was a gamble, but it didn’t pay off. If he wasn’t injury prone he would have been £30m, and we wouldn’t have ended up buying him.
